WebNov 15, 2024 · Building a 2024 F250 6.7 4x4 plat but not sure on the gear ratio. I can select from 3.55 or 3.31. Lot of everything type work , 90% highway unloaded but the other 10% will have 8-15k lbs on a gooseneck or pull behind. WebOct 27, 2015 · Ok, this is the issue. My axle code is C5. the C5 code always has been the 4.1 rear end ratio. But, my truck is turning 2500 rpm at 70 mph. the truck has 255/85-16 tires. doing the math, (5280/8.65 x 4.56 x.76 /60 x 70 = 2472) indicates that I have a 4.56 rear end. I had a buddy drive beside me on the phone and my speedometer was accurate! WebJan 17, 2007 · This truck runs fine but shifts into 2nd about 15 mph and 3rd about 25mph. Seems like this must be geared kinda low. The speedo is off, that I do know. At 70 on the speedo I'm really running 60. I had my wife pace me in her van.
