I managed to get The Sims 2 and the expansions and stuff packs to work with Windows 8 but they no longer work on Windows 10, even with the compatibility set on Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Stick with Windows 7 if you aren't having any problems. It's honestly not worth the hassle. . If you intend to play the Sims 2.
